Początki były oparte na entuzjazmie. Dziś wolontariat staje się w organizacjach, instytucjach i biznesie okazją do osobistego wglądu, treningu zarządzania projektem, szkołą kompetencji społecznych, jednym z elementów odpowiedzialnego i zaangażowanego zarządzania. O 13-letnich doświadczeniach pracy w trzecim sektorze opowiada Izabela Dyakowska.


Czym się zajmuje.

Do niedawna pracowała w Stowarzyszeniu Centrum Wolontariatu. Do trzeciego sektora trafiła w 1998 roku.

– To było szlachetne średniowiecze zarówno dla mnie, jak i dla organizacji pozarządowych w Polsce, dla wolontariatu. To była bogata w doświadczenie i cenne kontakty droga – mówi z przekonaniem. I o tych doświadczeniach rozmawiamy.

– Początki były wypełnione edukacją, przybliżaniem wolontariatu opartego na wymianie i współpracy, przełamywaniem stereotypów dotyczących pomagania – zaczyna. – Wspólnie odkrywaliśmy, że wolontariat to nie tylko dawanie serca na dłoni, ale przede wszystkim wzajemna świadoma wymiana, partnerstwo. Równowaga dawania i brania jest warunkiem sukcesu tej relacji. Organizowaliśmy wiele szkoleń, warsztatów, wykładów, projektów z ludźmi i dla ludzi. Przyjaźnie wtedy zawarte trwają do dziś. Poznałam osoby, które dzięki wolontariatowi zmieniły swoje zawody, zdobywając nowe kompetencje czy kwalifikacje, ale przede wszystkim inną perspektywę. Początki były dosyć emocjonalne, oparte na entuzjazmie. Dziś wolontariat staje się w organizacjach, instytucjach i biznesie okazją do osobistego wglądu, treningu zarządzania projektem, szkołą kompetencji społecznych, jednym z elementów odpowiedzialnego i zaangażowanego zarządzania. Dzięki tej perspektywie wiem, że: „Nie da się zmienić ciemności w światłość, ani apatii w ruch bez udziału emocji” (C. G. Jung). Wolontariat to „goodbalans”, szczególne spotkanie świata emocji z profesjonalizmem dla wspólnego dobra.

Kończąc kilkunastoletnią pracę w Stowarzyszeniu zaczęła prowadzić własną firmę konsultingową.

– Wspieram pracodawców w odpowiedzialnym społecznym zaangażowaniu ze szczególnym naciskiem na wolontariat pracowniczy i procesy wewnętrzne. Jest to temat delikatny, bo dotyczy ludzi i ich potrzeb, motywacji, komunikacji, kultury, postaw, kompetencji. Nie ma tu miejsca na traktowanie ludzi w sposób instrumentalny, w celu osiągania kolejnych wskaźników, czy powinnościowy. To przedsięwzięcie dla odpowiedzialnych, świadomych i dojrzałych pracodawców. Wspieram także organizacje i instytucje w budowaniu wolontariackich programów i przedsięwzięć, długofalowych partnerskich relacji z biznesem na gruncie współpracy bezpośredniej. Prowadzę wykłady, szkolenia. konsultacje, propagując przy każdej okazji założenia, tendencje, szanse i zagrożenia, najlepsze praktyki społecznego zaangażowania, a takich jeszcze wciąż mamy nie tak wiele – opowiada o swojej pracy.

Dlaczego to robi.

– Zdezaktualizowało się przekonanie, stereotyp, że pomaganie to bezinteresowne niesienie pomocy – kontynuuje. – Ludzie, odpowiadając na swoje potrzeby i pragnienia, coraz bardziej świadomie angażują się społecznie. Polski biznes dojrzał do tego, że do rozwoju nie wystarczą efekty finansowe. Równie ważna jest dbałość o ludzi poprzez stwarzanie im nowych przestrzeni do rozwoju i samorealizacji, jednocześnie w trosce o najbliższe otoczenie, którego jesteśmy przecież częścią. Wolontariat pracowniczy to sposób przede wszystkim na pogłębianie relacji między ludźmi, zarówno w sąsiedztwie, w pracy, jak i w rodzinie. To możliwość realizowania w praktyce, przy wsparciu pracodawcy, ważnych zasad i wartości. Warto to robić z doświadczonymi ludźmi, uzupełniać się, budować nową jakość.

Sama swoje społeczne zaangażowanie tłumaczy tym, że nie jest jej obojętne, w jakim świecie żyje, wśród jakich ludzi, po co i jak. Ważna jest ta wartość dodana.

– I nie jest mi obojętne, na jakim świecie będą żyły moje, nasze dzieci – dodaje. – Wytrwałość, automotywacja, wizja oparta o doświadczenia, intuicję, wiedzę, życzliwość dla ludzi nawet tych nieżyczliwych, otwartość na dialog i współpracę, poczucie humoru, dystans do siebie – wylicza cechy potrzebne jej w pracy. – Swoich doświadczeń nie zapominam, nie marnotrawię, konsoliduję, eksportuję w przyszłość.

Największy sukces.

– Moja rodzina, dzieci. Każdego dnia podejmowanie wyzwania godzenia życia prywatnego z zawodowym. To trudny, acz ważny, unikalny czas – podkreśla.

Dzisiaj wie, jak wygląda perspektywa młodej mamy, która i angażuje się społecznie i zaczyna swój biznes.

– Wiem, jak wiele musi mieć w sobie energii, wytrwałości i sprzymierzeńców, żeby być mamą i zajmować się czymś ważnym dla siebie zawodowo – podkreśla. – Macierzyństwo, dom, rodzina są dla mnie na pewno punktem odniesienia, najlepszym sterem, żeglarzem, okrętem. Bez tego nie byłabym tą, którą jestem.

– Z perspektywy trzynastu lat pracy w trzecim sektorze moim zawodowym sukcesem jest właśnie to owocne trzynaście lat, wiele projektów współtworzonych i współrealizowanych z ciekawymi ludźmi. Współtworzenie wolontariatu pracowniczego w Polsce jest moim punktem świetlnym, ale również inicjowanie zmiany społecznej w instytucjach pomocy społecznej porzez wprowadzanie wolontariatu zarówno dla, jak i z klientami tych placówek. Nie da się zliczyć wielu ważnych inicjatyw, które po latach wracają jak bumerang – to wspaniałe. Spotykani na tej drodze ludzie, to wielki dar, cenna lekcja – zaznacza.

Największa porażka.

– Nie mam takich praktyk, które mogłabym nazwać porażką, bo kojarzy mi się ona z czymś ostatecznym. Jeśli odnoszę porażkę (dziwne słowo dla mnie), to takie doświadczenie staje się dla mnie szansą i impulsem do zastanowienia się gdzie jestem, o co mi naprawdę chodzi, co jest dla mnie ważne – tłumaczy. – Z trudnych doświadczeń czerpię jakąś siłę. To zwykle ważne drzwi, wejście do świata, który wcześniej nie był mi dostępny, ja nie byłam dostępna dla niego, a raczej – na niego gotowa. Wszystko dzieje się po coś. W życiu nie interesuje mnie burzenie murów, pokonywanie przeszkód, uczestniczenie w wyścigach czy pozornych inicjatywach, ale budowa pozytywnych i pożytecznych konstrukcji. Szkoda tracić cenną energię, lepiej koncentrować się na tym, co ważne, dobre, ciekawe.

Co lubi.

Uwielbia spędzać czas ze swoimi dziećmi, rodziną.

– Jestem trochę monotematyczna – uśmiecha się. – W życiu znajduję się na etapie wychowywania dzieci. Uwielbiam patrzeć, jak one się rozwijają, jak naśladują, jak zaczynają przejmować inicjatywę. Uwielbiam się z nimi wygłupiać, bawić i rozmawiać. Lubię nasze wyprawy na rolkach i te rowerowe. Uwielbiam czytać im bajki, lubimy wymyślać je razem. I wspólne posiłki, i widok dzieci śpiących. Przesypywanie piasku z miejsce na miejsce jest dzisiaj dla mnie świetnym sposobem bycia ze sobą nawzajem, bycia tu i teraz. Dzieci wiele mnie uczą każdego dnia. A kiedy dom śpi i praca nie woła, mam cichą chwilę dla siebie, na książkę, film, medytację.

Plany na przyszłość.

– Zależy mi, żeby moja praca czemuś służyła, wprowadzała sensowne zmiany, czyli jeszcze trochę przede mną – śmieje się.

Rozmawiamy w ostatnim dniu pracy w Centrum Wolontariatu. W tej chwili Izabela zaangażowana jest w prace nad powstawniem nowej organizacji zajmującej się społecznym zaangażowaniem.

– Ale to temat na następny wywiad – śmieje się. – Interesuje mnie prospołeczność i jej wpływ na rozwój ludzi, zespołów, organizacji, pracodawców, społeczności czy edukacji nieformalnej, dialogu i partycypacji społecznej – tłumaczy.

– Spieszę się powoli – mówi z naciskiem.

Zauważa tęsknotę organizacji pozarządowych do bycia „biznesowymi”, i odwrotnie biznesu do bycia pozarządowym.

– Wciąż jako trzeci sektor nie mamy zbyt dużej siły przebicia bezpośrednio do ludzi. Mało jest ciągle długofalowej, strategicznej współpracy między organizacjami pozarządowymi, współpracy trójsektorowej, a wręcz czasem się wykluczamy czy pozorujemy współpracę. To trzeba zmienić, wejść na kolejny etap dojrzałości obywatelskiej – tłumaczy.

Na koniec z lekkim przymrużeniem oka dodaje, że w organizacjach pozarządowych nie ma emerytury i że społeczne zaangażowanie jest lepsze niż luksusowe kremy czy wyprawy na koniec świata. To droga na rzecz innych, do siebie.
